Administrative rights are granted upon approval of a Senior Vice President and subject to future justification and audit. Requesting an administrative account for a local workstation is contingent upon acceptance of the risks and responsibilities described in the Admin Rights Waiver.

To submit a request for administrative rights:

  1. Complete the Admin Rights Waiver
    1. Ensure that the Senior Vice President of your applicable business unit is specified in the form.
  2. Once the request is approved a help desk ticket will be created.
  3. CITS support will take appropriate actions to enable the installation of Make Me Admin through Software Center.  
  4. Install the Make Me Admin software through Software Center. (See Section 07-05 Software Center for guidance on using Software Center)


 

To use the Make Me Admin software:

  1. Click on the Start button and click on the Make Me Admin application to open the software.

  1. Click on the button Grant Me Administrator Rights.

3.   A Windows notification will pop up on your screen to confirm that you have been added to the local administrator’s group.

  1. If a User Account Control window appears (pictured in image 10.03-4) enter your regular username and password.  Example: Todd.Kenner with the same password used to log onto the computer.

Administrative rights will automatically be removed after 10 minutes.
