What does the OneDrive App do?
OneDrive smart phone app allows users to access files stored in their OneDrive account in O365. RESPEC users have the ability to download the OneDrive app and view files from their OneDrive. Additionally, users can upload files to their OneDrive account using the app. This is particularly useful when USB storage devices are blocked on a system and you need to send photos from your phone into a project folder.
Due to Mobile Application Management the OneDrive app will not allow you to export data out of your OneDrive account to your smart phone.
How to get it
The app store for your smart phone will have the OneDrive app and can be downloaded for free.
How to upload photos through it
Start by opening the OneDrive app and tap the + sign in the upper right.
Tap the upload button on the drop down dialogue
Tap on “Photos and Video”
Select all the photos you want to upload and then tap Done.
The app will show the progress of uploading the photos at the bottom of the window.
Once complete you can download those items from your desktop through OneDrive.
