RESPEC is implementing Mobile Application Management for cell phones that are using Microsoft apps for work.
Why are we doing this?
To improve RESPEC's security posture by controlling company data from being on devices that are lost or removed from RESPEC when users leave the organization.
What will be different after MAM is rolled out?
MAM will protect the companies data by encrypting it within the productivity apps you use on your phone. The only change you will notice is that the apps will have some minor restrictions on data being exported from the apps to sources outside our organization. Importing data into the apps from photos or documents on your phone will remain the same.
Can RESPEC access data on my phone or track my device?
No, RESPEC does not have control of or access over the device itself. Mobile Application Management allows us to send down settings for the individual apps that access RESPEC data and if needed we can lock those apps from use.

Am I required to use this on my phone?
You are not required to use your personal device for work purposes. However, if you want to use your device to access Outlook, Teams, OneDrive apps on your phone to view RESPEC company files and communications then you will be required to use the Mobile Application Management.
What do I need to know about how my experience will change?
IOS Users:
When mobile application management is applied to an iOS device, no additional configuration is required for users. When users open the app for the first time after the policy is applied, they will see the following:
Android Users:
When mobile application management is applied to Android devices, users will need to ensure that encryption is turned on and that they have the “Company Portal” application. No configuration is required inside the application but it does contain the framework that allows control of the applications that MAM protects.
When prompted to install the company portal app follow the prompts to download from the google play store.
