Standard equipment provided by the IT group

  • Laptop computer.
  • Power adapter for laptop.
  • Standard wireless mouse and keyboard.
  • Up to two monitors. (May choose two 27" monitors or one 34" curved display)
  • Docking station or port replicator for laptop computers (one per person).


Hardware that we do not provide by default but can upon request.


  • Wired headset and microphone combination.
  • Wired external webcam. (Laptops have one built in)
  • Desktop VoIP phone with phone number.


Depending on the situation, RESPEC will provide equipment to assist with home use as directed by leadership including:

  • Soft-phone software installation.
  • Remote VPN appliance or ability.

Items that are not provided for home use include:

  • Cables to hook up personal monitors or peripherals.
  • Duplicated hardware that already exists in the individual’s office.
  • Printer toner or ink.


Standard laptop hardware, monitors, keyboard and mouse, docking station is rotated every five years. The IT team will contact you to initiate replacing your hardware when the time comes.


Any items not listed above may still be purchased by the company but will need approval of your manager and the cost is booked to the budget for your business unit If approved.


It is also acceptable to bring in your own devices if you would prefer to use something of higher quality than we provide by standard. See the following article for details.
