If a new .pc3 file needs to be created in AutoCAD, follow the steps below:

  1. Open AutoCAD.
  2. Type PLOTTERMANAGER into the command line and press Enter. - This opens the folder where all .pc3 files are stored.
  3. Double-click "Add-a-Plotter Wizard".
  4. In the wizard:
    • Choose "My Computer" when prompted.
    • Select the correct driver (e.g., HP DesignJet PS or 129-HP4200-1feng-PS).
    • Click "Next" and follow the prompts.
    • On the "Ports" screen, select your printer's port (or use the default).
  5. Name the PC3 file something recognizable, such as "129-HP4200-1feng-PS_Custom.pc3".
  6. Once saved, the file will appear as a printer option in the AutoCAD Plot window.

Tip: If you're unsure which driver to choose, use the one that matches your printer setup and supports PostScript (PS)
